When do we use the last month’s rent deposit?

A last month's rent (LMR) deposit is a payment made by a tenant to their landlord that covers the final month of rent at the end of a lease agreement. 

DCRI will hold onto the last month's rent deposit throughout the lease term and will be put on a trust fund and will apply it towards the final month's rent payment on the final month the tenant resides in the unit.

We do not ask for a damage deposit.
